Bringing Practical Wisdom Into Your Life
Back to Basics:
How Simplicity Can save the world... and ourselves
Today's
efforts to fight global
climate change are dismissed by many as "too little, too
late."
Dr.
James Hansen, a leading NASA climatologist who first modeled global
warming trends in the 1970s, warns that unless we eliminate all
coal-burning power plants across the earth in 20 years, "the planet
will be
committed to change on a scale society will not be able to cope with"
(Elizabeth Kolbert, "The
Catastrophist,"
New Yorker, June 29, 2009).
These are strong words from a man many regard as the first to understand the human element in global warming and whose global warming predictions have proven correct.
What, then, are we to do?

David's Corner:
The importance of living simply

Living
simply can be summed up in one
word - Love.
Love is what we all seek in everything we do. It makes the cloudy days pass quickly and the bright days neverending. It makes a difficult task easy and gives meaning and purpose to our lives
In the end, living simply is simply living - in Love.
