"The heart is the hub of all sacred places. Go there and roam."

~ Bhagawan Nityananda (1897 - 1961)

The Bridge To Action

The second bridge takes you to the Land of Action where you roll up your sleeves and begin the practice of reconnecting to your power source. This power has many names according to each tradition but it is always found in the heart. God, Consciousness, Self, Holy Spirit, Shakti, Wakan Tanka - these are all names for that limitless power within your own beingness.

This heart is not the physical one; it refers, instead, to the mystical source within you from which all virtues arise, from which everything is created and of which you are not separate.

In order to come to know your source, you must engage in those activities that will "open your heart." Consistancy is a key, here, the regular practice of seeking out where it is your source resides.

At first, your heart opens only grudgingly; a lifetime of neglect has covered its inner chambers with dust and debris. Eventually, however, you experience a "heart-opening" and you understand what this power is: Love. At that moment, you are crossing the third bridge...
